Job Summary
Job Title: Accountant / Tax Practitioner
Location: Montana – Pretoria
Salary:
R18 000 – R20 000 (negotiable depending on qualifications and experience)
Closing date: End July 2024
Duties and responsibilities:
- Record financial transactions from bank statements.
- Utilize SAGE accounting software for data entry and financial report drafting.
- Assist in preparing financial statements for Trusts.
- Contribute to tax return preparation for deceased individuals and Trusts.
- Manage SARS correspondence related to estate reporting.
- Collaborate with clients to gather financial information.
- Ensure accurate and organized client file documentation.
- Stay updated on tax regulations for legal compliance.
Non- negotiable qualifications and experience required:
- Bachelor`s degree in accounting, taxation, or related field.
- Preferred qualifications include 1 to 3 years of prior experience in accounting or tax-related positions.
- Familiarity with CIPC database and transactions advantageous.
- Experience with Estate taxes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt.
- High attention to detail in financial record-keeping.
