Job Description
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the calculation and analysis of Technical Provisions
- Contributing to IFRS 17 actuarial inputs and reporting
- Assisting with the development, testing, and maintenance of IFRS 17 models, processes, and controls
- Working closely with actuarial, finance, capital, and audit teams to ensure accurate and compliant reporting
- Driving enhancements to actuarial methodologies and insurance reporting frameworks
- Supporting process improvement, automation, and digitisation initiatives
- Researching and applying actuarial and accounting principles to specialised insurance products
Ideal background:
- Degree in Actuarial Science with strong academic results
- Nearly or newly qualified actuary (ASSA or equivalent)
- 3+ years’ experience, preferably within short-term insurance
- Strong reserving and/or reporting experience
- Exposure to IFRS 17 / IFRS advantageous but not essential
- Experience in project-based work beneficial
- Programming skills in VBA, R, Python, or similar advantageous
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Self-motivated and able to thrive in a collaborative environment
