• Matric
• CNC programming certification
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a press shop or motor industry

Competencies

• Proven experience as a Press Break Operator
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of press break machine operations and CNC programming
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, and production specifications
• Familiarity with different types of press break machines and their setup requirements

Responsibilities 

• Responsibility for mounting, aligning and securing tools in the production press making the relevant technical and mechanical adjustments as needed.
• Regular measurement of work pieces – in conjunction with QC – to determine accuracy of machine operation using calipers, micrometer height gauges, templates, or other relevant instruments.
• Responsibility for inspection of first and last piece from latest production run with the assistance of Tool Room to ensure that any necessary adjustments, sharpening and or repairs are performed.
• Ensuring the correct material is being used and that tooling are aligned with the de-coiler.
• Responsible for setting of CNC bending machine. This includes loading of tooling, righting of bending program and ensuring products is bend according to drawing specifications.
