As BI Data Analyst based in Johannesburg East, you’ll be the go-to person for transforming data into powerful business stories. Reporting to the Group Financial Manager, you’ll work with teams across the business to shine a light on performance, spot opportunities and drive strategic decisions that keep operations running at full speed. Key Responsibilities:

• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and design dashboards that turn operational performance into clear, actionable insights
• Proactively identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities, recommending both strategic and operational solutions
• Translate complex business challenges into analytical questions and convert those answers into data-driven actions
• Collaborate with IT to build data solutions that enhance network efficiency and resilience
• Work closely with business stakeholders across departments and regions, ensuring alignment and driving analytical best practices
• Ensure data accuracy, availability and quality by defining business data needs and working hand-in-hand with IT teams

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• BCom degree in Analytics, Finance or a related discipline
• 6+ years’ experience as a BI Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role
• Excellent SQL skills and proficiency in BI / data visualisation tools (PowerBI preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with a proven track record of turning data insights into business action
• Exceptional communication skills, able to tell stories with data for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced, operational environments
• Commercially minded, you care about results, not just reports
