Duties:
- Analyse complex business data and generate actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualisations to present key performance indicators and business trends.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into meaningful data insights.
- Conduct data analysis to identify business opportunities, risks, and areas for process improvement.
- Perform data mining and trend analysis to provide predictive and prescriptive insights.
- Ensure data quality and integrity by identifying discrepancies, performing data validation, and cleansing datasets.
- Monitor and track business performance against goals, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Present findings and insights to management and key stakeholders in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
- Contribute to the development of business intelligence strategies to enhance data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Honour`s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field will be advantageous.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Business Intelligence Analyst, Data Analyst, or related role.
- Proven experience in data analysis, reporting, and delivering insights to support business decisions.
- Hands-on experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.), including creating reports, dashboards, and data visualisations.
- Experience with database management and query languages (e.g., SQL, DAX, Python, R) is an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Experience in identifying trends, patterns, and actionable insights from large and complex datasets.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and generate actionable insights.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks effectively.
