About the Role

Career Connect (Pty) Ltd is seeking an experienced Debtors Clerk to join their team in Sandton. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, handling client and supplier queries, and ensuring timely payments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain up-to-date customer accounts and monitor outstanding invoices.
  • Follow up to ensure timely payments from debtors.
  • Record Keeping: maintain accurate and organized financial records for all debtor and creditor transactions.
  • Communication: handle client and supplier queries professionally with excellent telephone etiquette and strong interpersonal skills, supported by clear and professional written communication.
  • Pressure Handling: work effectively under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks, and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reporting: assist with the preparation of debtor and creditor reports, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on clarity and professionalism.
  • Fast and accurate typing ability.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, Excel, and MS Office.
  • Proven experience as a Debtors / Creditors Clerk with solid knowledge of accounting practices.
