Duties:
- Produce accurate and timely financial reports in line with group deadlines and IFRS
- Prepare and distribute monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis and commentary to senior leadership
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial and accounting policies and procedures
- Continuously review and improve accounting processes and optimise financial systems
- Coordinate and manage the annual external audit process
Internal Controls & Risk
- Maintain and update documented accounting policies and internal control systems
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Monitor and improve risk management processes and governance standards
Reporting & Compliance
- Compile Annual Financial Statements and Annual Tax Packs
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, VAT, payroll, and statutory requirement
- Stay updated on legislative and regulatory changes affecting finance
Treasury & Working Capital
- Manage daily, weekly, monthly, and annual cash flow forecasting
- Ensure sufficient funding and appropriate forex cover to mitigate exposure
- Oversee credit control, debtor management, and bad debt minimisation
- Manage debtor insurance schedule submissions
Budgeting & Strategy
- Lead the annual budgeting process
- Manage capital expenditure planning and capital budgeting
Fixed Assets
- Oversee asset procurement and disposals in line with budget approvals
- Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure accurate depreciation
- Ensure all asset movements are properly authorised and recorded
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, manage, and develop the finance team
- Oversee recruitment, training, performance management, and succession planning within finance
- Build and maintain relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and key stakeholders
- Support intercompany reconciliations and group reporting requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement of systems, services, and organisational performance
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Finance-related degree (Accounting, Finance or similar)
- Professional finance qualification advantageous
Experience:
- Proven experience in a Financial Manager or senior finance leadership role
- Strong background in financial reporting, controls, and compliance
- Experience managing audits and working with external auditors
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Experience leading and developing finance teams
- Exposure to multi-entity or group reporting environments advantageous
