Accountant
Location: Garsfontein, Pretoria
Type: Full-Time | Office-Based
Salary: R45 000 per month (CTC)
Working Hours: 08:00 – 17:00 (1-hour lunch)

Our client, a pharmaceutical company, is seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to manage accounting operations, ensure compliance, and lead a small team. The ideal candidate will have completed articles, strong Excel skills, and experience working with auditors.
 
Minimum Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12
• Qualified accountant (CA / SAIPA preferred) with completed articles
• Proven experience managing a team
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Experience working with auditors
• SARS compliance knowledge
• Experience implementing accounting procedures and policies
• CIPC and Compensation Fund experience
• Preparation of management accounts
• Annual VAT reconciliations
• Compiling and reviewing budgets and forecasts
• Stock management experience beneficial
• Must be able to work independently and maintain confidentiality

 
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounting operations and lead a small accounting team
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including SARS and CIPC submissions
• Implement accounting policies and procedures
• Prepare management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
• Work with auditors during annual audits
• Perform annual VAT reconciliations and other statutory reporting
• Oversee stock accounting and reconciliations (if applicable)
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management
