1. Grade 12
2. Formal tertiary qualification preferred
3. At least 3 years experience in marketing of FRUIT in the fruit/agriculture industry
4. Middle East, Asia, Europe experience
5. Travel to clients in various areas
6. Willing to attend trade shows and expos

 
Duties and

• Getting updates from various markets on prices, demand and market situations.
• Getting updates from various growers and suppliers. Update on availability, prices, current situations (i.e. sizing, quality, colour)
• Procurement trips, visiting various growers/farms, new and existing
• Building and maintaining relationships with growers and clients
• Market research and finding new potential clients.
• Sales, ensuring all parties are happy. From the grower to the company to the end customer. All sales procedures are met.
• Dealing with claims in a professional and timely manner.
• Identifying different markets needs and wants.
• Ensuring the right information is given to the client and grower. Also, providing the right information, once a deal is confirmed, to the logistics department. To ensure deadlines are met and there is not confusion that can cause delays.
• Negotiating between grower and client. Ensuring the needs of the company are met as well.
• Doing costings on various items and sending price lists to various clients in various markets. Also, sending growers offers based on various market prices and situations.
• Providing updates on grower and market situations to the team and Directors
• Getting in new orders and finding stocks that meet the requirements of that order. Also, possibly have stocks that can meet another team member’s order requirements.
