Job Description
Purpose of the Role
Implement client systems, translate business needs, configure existing processes, and build short-term insurance products.
Responsibilities
- Resolve complex queries using SOPs and escalate when required.
- Deliver high-quality customer service; investigate and close out issues.
- Support client management through standard account activities.
- Review product suites to ensure regulatory and compliance alignment.
- Adhere to organisational policies and industry codes in all work.
- Coordinate project meetings and prepare concise reports/presentations.
- Elicit requirements, analyse processes/data, and propose/configure solutions.
- Maintain and grow technical/process skills through ongoing learning.
Skills & Attributes
- Strong verbal and written communication in English and Afrikaans
- Strong computer literacy and technical aptitude
- An accountable, results-driven professional who make sound, timely decisions, communicate clearly, and optimise processes while quickly adopting new technologies.
- The ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity, planning and aligning work effectively, building inclusive relationships, collaborating across teams, and demonstrating resilience under pressure.
Requirements
- Minimum Matric with a related tertiary qualification.
- 3 – 5 years short-term insurance underwriting experience (Essential)
- Data analysis experience (Advantageous)
- Administration role on any short-term insurance platform (Advantageous)
- Own transport and valid driver’s license
Salary
The salary is market-related and competitive, and will reflect your qualifications, skills, and experience. (Candidates with more than five years’ short-term insurance experience are likely too senior for this role and may fall outside the salary range.)
