Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal counsel on corporate governance, compliance, contracts, and risk management
- Manage contract lifecycle including drafting, review, negotiation, and digital repository management
- Oversee compliance programs and regulatory matters
- Manage litigation and disputes, coordinating with external counsel when necessary
- Protect and manage intellectual property portfolio
- Handle employment law matters and labor compliance
- Implement risk management strategies
- Conduct legal compliance training
- Support corporate governance activities
- Develop internal policies and procedures
- Lead Social & Ethics committee
- Oversee debt collection processes
- Manage company secretarial functions
- Monitor and ensure BBBEE compliance
Required Qualifications & Experience
- LLB degree
- 5-10 years relevant experience
- Experience in international legal issues and regulations
- M&A experience including due diligence
- Strong track record in managing complex legal matters
- Computer proficiency
- Comprehensive understanding of corporate governance, compliance, and BEE legislation
- Superior negotiation and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
