About the Role

A well-established organization in Gauteng is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Bookkeeper to join their team. Key Responsibilities

Oversee the full Trial Balance process for cross-border entities.
Accurately and promptly process customer and supplier invoices.
Record bank transactions and manage petty cash reconciliations.
Prepare and process payment batches in multiple currencies.
Maintain and update the fixed asset register to ensure accurate records.
Reconcile intercompany loan accounts and assist in resolving discrepancies.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Collaborate closely with the senior finance team to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of financial accounting and reporting processes.
Proficient in MS Office, with advanced skills in MS Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all financial tasks.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Pastel, or similar ERP systems).
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

Matric (Garde 12)
BCom Accounting, BCom Finance, or a related degree; accounting-related qualifications will be advantageous.
Completed SAICA Articles (Must have)
