Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Cutting Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining laser cutting machines to produce precision components based on technical drawings and specifications. If possible, Bevel Cutting will also be an advance if the operator can utilize.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Setup & Operation:
  • Set up and program laser cutting machines using appropriate programs, gases, nozzles, and fixtures for specific materials and job specifications.
  • Monitor machine performance to ensure consistent and accurate cutting operations.
  • If possible, Bevel Cutting will also be an advance.
  • Candidate must also do his own Nesting and Planning.
• Material Handling:
  • Safely load and unload raw materials and finished parts.
  • Follow proper handling and storage procedures to prevent material damage.
• Blueprint Interpretation:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and technical documents to ensure precise cuts and part dimensions.
• Quality Control:
  • Perform in-process and final inspections using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
  • Identify and report defective materials or issues in production.
• Machine Maintenance:
  • Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
  • Adjust laser settings (beam intensity, focus, etc.) and troubleshoot minor mechanical or software issues.
• Safety Compliance:
  • Follow all workplace safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Consistently wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Production Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate production logs, inspection records, and material usage reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
– Proven experience operating laser or plasma cutting machines in a manufacturing environment.
– Strong knowledge of laser cutting parameters, materials, and machine functions.
– Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD files, and mechanical drawings.
– Proficient in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
– Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and basic computer skills.
– Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
– Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
– Willingness to perform maintenance tasks and support continuous improvement efforts.
