- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or Blasting Engineering
Requirements
- An MBA will be advantageous.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in open cast blasting operations.
- Strong knowledge of blasting regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
- Valid open cast blasting certificate and relevant safety training.
Duties
- Will be responsible for overseeing all blasting activities and operations in our open cast mining projects. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of blasting techniques, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance
- Plan and execute blasting operations safely and on schedule.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant blasting regulations.
- Lead and train blasting teams to follow best practices.
- Develop blasting plans and select suitable materials and equipment.
- Monitor performance to improve efficiency and reduce impact.
- Collaborate with geology, engineering, and site teams.
- Conduct risk assessments and enforce safety measures.
- Keep detailed records of blasting activities and compliance.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technologies
