Job Summary
Working in the Project Controls environment, manage and maintain project schedule by:
- Planning and setting up of project schedule with project stakeholders’ input using Primavera
- Following project planning processes and company procedure on all assigned projects
- Ensure consistency and reliable progress reporting
- Highlight any deviation within the programme to the Project Manager, and assist with innovative and appropriate planning advice
- Implement planning logic, understanding inter dependencies and knock-on effects
- Highlight critical path, Earned Value and appropriate resource loading
- Track baseline vs actual progress on schedules
- Highlight risks to ensure project completion on time – raise early warnings with possible impacts to project schedule
- Weekly reporting to internal and external parties by means of schedule updates and progress reporting
- Assist subcontractors, align, and integrate project schedules and progress reports
- The role/s may require time on site either part of the week or full time based on the project phase
- Understanding of bespoke consulting business models and ability to do business development
- Process orientated and assertive to ensure that complex projects are executed in accordance with company established practices and safety requirements
- Bias for action based on logical problem solving and experience
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Relevant qualification advantageous, professional registration highly recommended
- 5-10+ years’ experience in mining or large infrastructure projects
- Experience in a similar role, planning of large construction and installation projects
- Primavera P6 and MS Projects knowledge essential
- Sound Understanding of fabrication and installation projects
- Driven ‘Can-do’ attitude, with a passion for mega projects
- Able to work under pressure and to communicate effectively with a wide range of project stakeholders
- Attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of the outputs
- Analytical thinker, energetic and flexible
- Must have EPCM experience
- Power BI experience highly recommended
- Must be willing to travel to project sites – own transport and valid driver’s license essential
- Must be medically fit to work on mining/construction sites
Package & Remuneration
Market related – negotiable depending on qualifications and experience
Long term renewable contracts, project based
