Experience

• The successful incumbent must possess at least five (5) years’ experience in coordinating and understanding different engineering disciplines and project management.

 
Formal qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, or industrial) or related field is preferred
• High proficiency in Microsoft Projects
• Certifications in project management or related areas will be an added advantage
• Fluent in English
• Valid driving license code 08
• Own transport

 
Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, resource allocation, timelines, and budgets.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned and progressing smoothly.
• Provide engineering expertise and technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain thorough documentation of project activities, including plans, designs, reports, and updates.
• Identify potential risks and develop strategies to ensure project success.
• Ensure all project activities meet or exceed industry standards, regulations, and company quality guidelines.
• Address technical issues and project challenges, providing solutions to keep the project on track.
• Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects
• Monitor compliance with applicable codes, practices, quality related policies, performance standards and specifications
• Daily interaction with clients to determine, interpret and implement their needs and requirements and represent them in the field
• Taking control of entire project (budget, schedule, plans, staff performance, financial status) and provide regular reports to relevant stakeholders
• Assign responsibilities to team members
• Coaching and mentoring the team members
• Review deliverables and initiate corrective action if need be

 
Inherent requirements for the position

• High proficiency in MS Projects
• Proficiency in project administration
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information
• Technical writing skills for project documentation, reports and proposals
• Foundational knowledge of project management principles and methodologies
• Experience in coordinating and understanding different engineering disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality assurance
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams to achieve project goals and milestones
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members, stakeholders, and external partners
• Familiarity with relevant software tools and platforms used in project management and engineering tasks
