About the Role
A well-established engineering and industrial solutions company is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead and develop both internal and external sales teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven leadership experience, and a successful track record driving sales growth within the engineering, manufacturing, or technical sectors.
This is a strategic role suited to a hands-on, highly driven individual who excels in building high-performance teams and fostering strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and mentor internal and external sales teams to achieve and exceed targets.
- Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with company goals and market opportunities.
- Drive growth across local and international markets within the engineering and industrial sectors.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and industry partners.
- Monitor sales pipeline, performance metrics, forecasting, and reporting to senior management.
- Collaborate closely with technical, operations, and marketing departments to support customer needs and project delivery.
- Identify new business opportunities, emerging market trends, and competitive insights.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and skills development plans for the sales team.
- Oversee pricing structures, quotations, proposals, and contract negotiations.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, industrial, or related field).
- 5–10 years sales experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or technical environment.
- 3–5 years experience in a supervisory or sales management role.
- Strong commercial and technical understanding of engineered products and solutions.
- Demonstrated experience leading and motivating multi-disciplinary sales teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- High level of professionalism, strategic thinking, and problem-solving ability.
- Must be office-based in Kya Sand, Randburg.
