About the Role
Network Finance is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Payroll Administrator to join their team. The ideal candidate will be confident in managing high-volume, complex payrolls, with a strong understanding of compliance and ability to take ownership of the full payroll process with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end processing of monthly payrolls for a large employee base
- Ensure accurate calculation of salaries, overtime, deductions, and benefits
- Manage payroll inputs, validations, and reconciliations
- Handle statutory submissions including PAYE, UIF, SDL, and IRP5s
- Ensure compliance with legislation, company policies, and internal controls
- Resolve payroll queries and liaise with HR, finance, and management
- Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data
- Support audits, reporting, and year-end payroll processes
- Assist with process improvements and payroll-related projects
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a payroll administration role
- Proven experience handling high-volume payrolls
- Strong knowledge of South African payroll legislation and compliance
- Experience working on a recognised payroll system (essential)
- High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Confident communicator able to deal with stakeholders at all levels
- Able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
