A leading organization is seeking a Service Manager – Command Centre to manage teams and oversee the monitoring and processing of critical systems, infrastructure, and services. This role ensures operational stability, SLA compliance, and effective incident management across a 24/7 environment. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to maintain service continuity and deliver exceptional client support.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Command Centre teams across multiple shifts
• Ensure timely processing of input/output data files within SLAs
• Oversee incident management, escalation, and resolution for major incidents
• Participate in bridge calls and post-incident reviews
• Prepare daily and monthly operational reports and assist with incident schedules
• Interface between Operations, Testing, and Development for upgrades and implementations
• Ensure operational resiliency and successful DR processing during outages
• Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Identify and escalate risks appropriately
• Coach and develop team members to maintain technical proficiency

Job Experience and Skills Required
Education:

• Minimum Matric
• Bachelor’s degree (advantageous)
• Certifications in Linux, Networks, Windows, IT Operations Management, Incident Management, and ITIL Service Management

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years in IT operations or related field
• People management across multiple shifts
• Experience in recovery and resiliency (BCP) processes
• Knowledge of cloud computing (AWS), networks, and operating systems (Linux, Windows)
• Familiarity with data protection regulations (GDPR, PCI, POPIA)
• Command Centre or Service Desk management experience

Skills:

• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Problem-solving aptitude
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
