Job Summary
We are seeking a Service Technician Intern to assist with AED (Automated
External Defibrillator) maintenance, logistics, and installations. This role
involves pad and battery replacements, basic troubleshooting, and handyman work
such as installing AED cabinets and wall brackets. The intern will also assist
with deliveries, collections, and general servicing tasks, ensuring that all job
records are accurately logged on Salesforce.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with AED pad and battery replacements.
- Support basic AED calibration and functionality checks.
- Assist with installing AED cabinets and wall brackets.
- Perform general handyman tasks related to AED installations.
- Complete job cards and log service activities on Salesforce.
- Assist with deliveries and collections of AEDs and consumables.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Provide customer support related to AED maintenance and logistics.
Requirements:
- South African unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
- Must not have participated on the YES programme before.
- Basic knowledge of technical servicing is an advantage (training provided).
- Handyman skills, including the ability to use essential tools for installations.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Salesforce, Sage and
- Excel).
- Valid driver’s license
