Gauteng: Supply Chain Sourcing Specialist – Plant equipment posted by MECS Africa

Key Responsibilities:
Work with Engineering to identify parts suitable for alternative sourcing.
Conduct technical and commercial assessments of alternative suppliers.
Ensure compliance with OEM specifications, safety, and quality standards.
Support supplier onboarding, trials and performance monitoring.
Quantify and report on cost savings and operational impact.
 
Required qualifications and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement or related.
5+ years’ experience in mining or plant equipment supply chain.
Deep understanding of OEM vs. non-OEM parts, warranties and risk mitigation.
Experience in supplier qualification, technical validation and contract management.
Experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
