Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new business opportunities and expand market reach across South Africa and African territories.
- Secure product specification by engaging engineers, consultants, contractors, and procurement teams.
- Manage a strong sales pipeline and meet monthly and annual sales targets.
- Conduct market research to identify regional opportunities and track competitor activity.
- Provide technical product support to engineering and construction clients.
- Interpret engineering drawings and tender documents to recommend suitable solutions.
- Facilitate presentations, demonstrations, and technical training.
- Support projects from concept through installation and completion.
- Ensure solutions align with relevant technical, compliance, and sustainability requirements.
- Travel throughout Africa for client visits, site engagements, and regional business development.
- Build networks with engineers, contractors, authorities, and distributors in multiple countries.
- Represent the organisation at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events.
- Maintain strong customer relationships through professional and consistent communication.
- Prepare quotations, tenders, and proposals aligned with project needs.
- Liaise with internal teams to support cross-border orders, logistics, and compliance.
- Provide regular reporting, forecasts, and territory updates to the Export Manager.
- Maintain accurate information and sales activity records on ERP/CRM systems.

- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Commercially aware with strong negotiation capability.
- Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable with frequent African travel.
- Proactive problem-solver with a passion for engineering-based solutions.
Requirements:
- Civil Engineering degree, BTech Civil Engineering, or Geology qualification (essential).
- 2–5 years’ experience in technical or engineering sales.
- Experience working with engineers, consultants, and technical decision-makers.
- Valid passport and willingness to travel cross-border frequently.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- ERP/CRM experience (Syspro advantageous).
Remuneration:
- R45 000 – R55 000 basic salary
