About the Role

Empowered People Solutions (Pty) Ltd is seeking an experienced Transport Manager to join our team in Johannesburg, Eastern Suburbs. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of goods and vehicles, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and dispatch all trucks daily, with schedules prepared in advance.
Communicate dispatch changes promptly to drivers.
Optimise routes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
Provide leadership and guidance to drivers.
Maintain constant communication and address challenges proactively.
Promote safety awareness and continuous improvement.
Track vehicles using tracking systems and monitor cameras.
Report incidents or accidents promptly.
Manage mechanical issues and maintenance schedules.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in transport management or a related field.
Strong knowledge of logistics and transportation operations.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and GPS tracking systems.
