Job Description
1. Inventory and Stock Accuracy:
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate inventory records.
- Conduct cycle counts, spot checks, and assist with monthly stock take.
- Investigate and resolve stock variances or discrepancies.
- Identify and report slow-moving or damaged stock.
- Ensure all stock transactions are properly recorded in the system.
2. Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate team members to meet performance targets.
- Manage attendance, leave, and disciplinary issues in line with company policy.
- Support new staff with training and ensure compliance with safety rules and procedures.
- Encourage teamwork and build a positive, accountable work culture.
3. Safety and Compliance:
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment.
- Enforce company health and safety standards and address unsafe practices immediately.
- Conduct routine safety checks and report any incidents or near misses.
- Ensure all warehouse activities follow legal and company requirements.
4. Process Improvement:
- Identify ways to improve efficiency and reduce waste or downtime.
- Support small improvement projects and assist in developing better work processes.
- Share ideas for improving workflow, accuracy, and team performance
- Increase efficiency and turnaround time of container offloading and packing and packing
Key Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12) is essential.
- Diploma in Logistics, Warehousing, or
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a warehouse, logistics, or supply chain environment.
- Supervisory or team leader experience in a shift-based operation.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, ERP/WMS).
- Strong attention to detail and work accuracy.
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively to daily operational challenges.
- Analytical thinker who can identify and resolve process issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Assertive, decisive, and capable of leading a team.
