About the Role
The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring a clean, organized, and professional environment at all times. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a focus on maintaining high standards of stock control, health and safety, and staff management.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, organised, and professional warehouse at all times.
- Supervise receiving, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns.
- Ensure goods are stored correctly to prevent damage and losses.
- Enforce warehouse procedures and discipline.
- Take full responsibility for stock accuracy.
- Ensure correct receiving and capturing of goods.
- Oversee accurate picking and dispatch.
- Investigate and report stock variances.
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with stock takes.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Maintain safe stacking, clear walkways, and proper use of PPE.
- Report and manage incidents or unsafe practices.
- Ensure equipment is used safely and correctly.
- Supervise warehouse staff and allocate daily tasks.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, and productivity.
- Train staff on procedures, stock handling, and safety.
- Address performance issues and escalate where necessary.
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Minimum 10 years warehouse experience
- FIFO Experience
- 5S’s in warehouse keeping
- At least 2 years supervisory experience
- Strong stock control knowledge
- Basic computer literacy
