Job Description
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- CA (SA), ACCA, or CIMA preferred.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a finance role.
- Strong knowledge of South African financial regulations and tax compliance.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, vlookups) and accounting systems.
The Job:
- Accounting & Reporting:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, treasury and inventory accounting.
- Assist with accurate and timely preparation of monthly management accounts and annual financial statements.
- Cash Flow & Treasury Management:
- Assist with monitoring the company’s cashflow/liquidity needs and working capital.
- Inventory & Cost Control:
- Enforce controls to prevent overstocking and obsolescence and monitor inventory shrinkage.
- Quarterly branch visits to both Cape Town and Johannesburg for stock count verifications.
- Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Assist with preparation of annual budgets as well as monthly and quarterly forecasts aligned with sales targets/business growth.
- Monitor operational expenses to identify improvement opportunities.
