Job Description
Logistics Coordination & Support
- Provide daily administrative support and coordinate delivery schedules and dispatch.
- Plan routes, optimize vehicle use, and ensure compliance with delivery standards.
Carrier & Transport Management
- Assist in managing transport providers and daily communication with carriers.
- Monitor service performance and escalate delays to maintain efficiency.
Documentation & Recordkeeping
- Prepare and file delivery notes, invoices, and PODs accurately.
- Maintain shipment records and generate reports for audits and invoicing.
Communication & Customer Service
- Serve as liaison between customers and transporters for updates and issues.
- Communicate delivery changes promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
General Administration & Compliance
- Support fleet administration, stock movement, and maintenance scheduling.
- Uphold health, safety, and quality standards in all logistics operations.
Core Skills & Attributes
- Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proactive, customer-focused, tech-savvy, and adaptable under pressure.
- Comfortable using ERP systems, Excel, and logistics tracking software.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric (required).
- A qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Administration (advantageous).
- 2–4 years of experience in a logistics, transport, or warehouse administration role (wholesale or FMCG environment preferred).
- Working knowledge of logistics software, order tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license (advantageous).
