About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Mini Excavator Operator to join our team. With a minimum of 5 years proven experience operating mini excavators or similar/larger earthmoving equipment, you will play a crucial role in safely and efficiently operating plant equipment, coordinating with site supervisors and team members to achieve project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a mini excavator and related plant equipment
- Coordinate and collaborate with site supervisors, plant managers, and team members to achieve project objectives
- Carry out excavation, trenching, backfilling, and material movement tasks in accordance with site requirements
- Perform manual labour when required, including digging with hand tools and lifting materials
- Conduct daily pre- and post-operation inspections and complete equipment check sheets
- Grease, clean, and carry out routine maintenance of the mini excavator
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years proven experience operating mini excavators or similar/larger earthmoving equipment
- Valid drivers license: Code EC
- Minimum of 10 years driving experience with a valid PDP
- Sound understanding of construction site safety regulations and operating procedures
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labour when required
