Our Client is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Underwriter to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in underwriting and risk assessment, along with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. The Senior Underwriter will be responsible for evaluating and assessing insurance applications and determining the level of risk associated with each applicant. This role requires a high level of expertise in underwriting standards and practices, as well as the ability to make sound decisions based on risk assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

– Review and analyze insurance applications to determine risk levels
– Evaluate applicant’s financial status, industry experience, and other relevant factors
– Review and assess policy documents to ensure accuracy and completeness
– Conduct research and gather data to support underwriting decisions
– Communicate with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders to gather additional information as needed
– Make recommendations for policy changes or modifications based on risk assessments
– Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing policies to identify potential risks and recommend appropriate actions
– Stay current on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance with underwriting standards

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field
– 5+ years of experience in underwriting or risk assessment
– Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
– Knowledge of insurance regulations and industry standards
– Certification in underwriting or related field is a plus
