About the Role
Changlong Trading Pty Ltd is a dynamic and growing company known for providing quality products and exceptional customer service. We are seeking a reliable and friendly Cashier to join our team in Germiston, South Africa. As a Cashier, you will be the face of our company, ensuring every customer interaction is positive while maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate cash registers and handle monetary transactions with accuracy.
- Greet and assist customers with their purchases.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding products and services.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Assist with stock replenishment and ensure shelves are properly stocked.
- Ensure that all transactions are recorded in compliance with company procedures.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds according to company policy.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor or manager.
- Provide feedback to management on customer experiences.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a cashier or in a similar customer-facing role.
- Basic math skills and ability to handle cash accurately.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
