About the Role
Hire Resolve, a global freight forwarder and logistics company, is seeking an experienced Senior Workspace Engineer to design, implement, and support modern endpoint management solutions with a primary focus on Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, and the migration from SCCM to Intune. The ideal candidate will lead technical migrations, set up enrollment methods, define compliance policies, and ensure endpoints meet security baselines.
Key Responsibilities
- Endpoint Migration & Management:
- Lead the technical migration of endpoint management from SCCM to Microsoft Intune.
- Set up and test Intune enrollment methods (e.g., Windows Autopilot, BYOD, bulk enrollment).
- Define, implement, and maintain compliance policies (encryption, password rules, antivirus).
- Integrate Conditional Access with Entra ID (Azure AD) for non-compliant devices.
- Ensure endpoints meet security baselines.
- Application Deployment & Updates:
- Inventory, rationalize, repackage, and publish applications via Intune (Win32, MSI, Store apps).
- Establish self-service app deployment through the Company Portal.
- Transition and manage Windows Update for Business (WUfB) policies in Intune.
- Define update rings, deadlines, and monitor compliance through Intune reporting.
- Configuration, Security, and Reporting:
- Replace legacy Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and SCCM configurations with Intune Configuration Profiles.
- Implement and maintain Microsoft Security Baselines for Windows, Edge, and Office.
- Utilize Endpoint Analytics and Device Health reports for proactive maintenance.
- Build dashboards for compliance, patching, and enrollment health, defining remediation workflows for unhealthy devices.
- SCCM Co-Management and Decommissioning:
- Enable Co-management for pilot devices and gradually shift workloads (compliance, updates, apps) from SCCM to Intune.
- Plan and execute the eventual decommissioning of the SCCM infrastructure.
Requirements
- Technical Expertise: Strong expertise in Windows 11 OS, Microsoft Intune, SCCM, Windows Autopilot, and Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Experience: Minimum 6+ years in desktop engineering, endpoint management, or IT support roles.
- Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell preferred).
- Soft Skills: Self-managed (ability to deliver without constant supervision), strong logical/abstract problem-solving, and a thirst for new technology.
- Communication: Fluent in written and spoken English; ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to global, cross-functional teams.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
- Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or Azure Administrator Associate.
- Familiarity with the ITIL framework.
- Experience with cloud migration projects and Office 365 migrations.
- Experience with Mobile Application Management (MAM) and Apple device management via Intune.
