Job Summary

Minimum requirements for the role: A degree in engineering or supply chain or business or management or a related qualification is preferred but not essential for this role. Previous experience having worked as a Supply Chain Manager or in a related role working with production and materials planning and management is essential within the food manufacturing. Must have operation / supply chain background with a proven track record of target focused delivery in a fast-paced operational environment. Must have working knowledge of the cycle count process as well as experience working on SAP or a related ERP System. Must be able to demonstrate leadership skills and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be computer literate with strong Excel skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Directly responsible for the strategy and management of the plant scheduling and logistics/warehouse teams including production and raw materials scheduling, inventory policy activities, TECO and cycle counting and warehouse team activities. Ensuring availability of raw materials at optimum levels to execute the weekly production plan which supports the objectives of superior customer service, product quality, total delivered cost and working capital targets. Developing, optimising and executing both raw materials and production manufacturing schedules, utilising sap. Leading plant scheduling activities for product life cycle management, including new product launches, reformulations and discontinuations. Acting as an influential member to supply chain leadership team. Providing leadership and oversight to the scheduling and logistics team, including materials purchasing planning, production scheduling, inventory management, product life cycle change management, disposals, risk and slob management and master data governance. Identifying and implementing improvements to working practices to improve efficiency, performance and reliability in the supply chain, including vendor management, seasonality and promotions planning and supplier inventory planning. Driving the team to a culture of total employee ownership by effectively managing systems to drive empowerment and engagement for all employees and promoting active participation in learning and continuous improvement activities. Managing all systems monitoring and enhancements (SAP), system training and core power users. Overseeing the tactical and strategic factory materials and inventory plans, setting targets and managing year on year stock value / inventory turnover improvements to support supply chain targets. Providing input into the S&OP process on site. Representing the plant on local, regional and global supply chain projects, with regard to commercialisation, cci and engineering changes. Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
