About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Beef Production Manager to join our team in Harrismith, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our beef production facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cattle management and farm management, with a proven track record of success in irrigated pastures and beef production.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the beef production facility
• Manage and motivate staff to achieve production targets
• Maintain accurate records and reports on production performance
• Implement and monitor irrigation systems to optimize pasture growth
• Ensure high standards of stockmanship and animal welfare
• Liaise with suppliers and contractors to ensure efficient logistics

Requirements

• Agricultural Diploma/Degree
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in cattle management and farm management
• Knowledge and experience with irrigated pastures and beef production
• Strong stockmanship skills
• Computer literate
• Ability to motivate and work with staff
• Honest, hardworking, and ownership mentality
