Role: Cinema Manager Location: Hermanus, Overberg, Western Cape

Salary:

To be confirmed Key Responsibilities 1. Operations Management Ensure seamless daily operations, from box office and concessions to screenings. Maintain equipment, oversee maintenance schedules, and manage vendor relationships. Develop and implement processes to keep the cinema running efficiently. 2. Guest Experience Train and lead your team to provide exceptional customer service. Address customer queries and concerns professionally, turning challenges into wins. Gather and act on guest feedback to continuously enhance the cinema experience. 3. Team Leadership Recruit, train, and inspire a motivated team of cinema enthusiasts. Conduct team meetings and celebrate successes to maintain morale. Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment. 4. Financial Management Monitor sales performance and prepare financial reports. Set and achieve revenue targets, ensuring profitability. Identify creative strategies to boost ticket and concession sales. 5. Marketing and Events Drive foot traffic through innovative marketing campaigns and events. Partner with community groups to promote special screenings and group bookings. Manage social media content to engage with local audiences. 6. Safety and Compliance Uphold health and safety standards to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff. Train your team on safety protocols and oversee emergency preparedness. What Were Looking For Experience and Skills: Education: Degree in Business, Hospitality, Film Studies, or related fields (advantageous). Experience: Minimum of 3 years in hospitality, restaurant, or bar management. Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of Microsoft Office and POS systems, with financial reporting skills. Customer Service: Proven ability to deliver outstanding guest experiences. Leadership: Demonstrated experience managing teams in a fast-paced setting. Marketing Insight: Experience or interest in event planning and community engagement. Personal Qualities: Strong communicator with the ability to motivate teams and engage customers. Problem-solver who can think on their feet and adapt to challenges. Detail-oriented, ensuring every aspect of the cinema is flawless. A passion for movies and sharing the cinematic experience with others.
