Introduction: An established and reputable national transport company seeks to employ a Qualified Diesel Mechanic in our Durban branch . The successful candidate should ideally reside in the Western Suburbs, Durban. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for servicing a small fleet of trucks and commercial vehicles. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and preventative maintenance inspections. Maintain accurate records of serviced vehicles, repairs performed, and parts used. To assist with other technical/ operational responsibilities at the Durban branch. Requirements and Qualifications: Red Seal Diesel Mechanic qualification. Matric/ Grade 12 or equivalent. Minimum 3 years practical Diesel Mechanic experience. Good mechanical and technical skills and experience (Hino proficiency highly beneficial). Valid SA Code 10/14 drivers license (or willing to acquire a Code 10/14 license). Own reliable transport. Good verbal and written communication skills in Afrikaans & English. Computer literate. Ability to work well independently. Stable work record with contactable references. Willingness to work shifts and flexible hours, including occasional weekends and public holidays. Must have absolute SOBER HABITS. Must be willing to do a pre-employment polygraph test. Ideally reside in Durban western suburbs (Hillcrest), or willing to relocate. Package and Remuneration: R37 000 R42 000 CTC per month, depending on skill level.
