About the Role
We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as Assistant Manager or Couple Position With Guide at Hluhluwe Lodge. As a key member of our small team, you will be responsible for handling in-camp issues, working independently under pressure, and maintaining high standards of service and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle in-camp issues and use initiative to resolve problems
- Oversee entire camp operations and maintain implemented standards daily
- Perform daily admin tasks such as:
- Stats
- Weekly orders
- Stocksheets and counts
- Petty cash management
- Invoicing for check-out guests
- Serve guests meals, including supporting the FOH team with meal set-ups and service
- Check in of guests upon arrival and conduct room checks for arrivals
- Oversee Housekeeping and Food and Beverage teams
- Plan daily menus according to dietary requirements and avoid menu repeats
- Sourcing new goods for the lodge
- Implementing new protocols issued by management
- Receiving deliveries and capturing stock on the system
- Ensuring high guest experience and priority
- Overseeing general maintenance and cleanliness of lodge and guests’ rooms
Requirements
Valid driver’s license, Valid first aid level 1 – Preferred
Previous working experience in similar role
Experience on Microsoft office programs (Excel is a must)
