About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Bright Placements’ 5-star game lodge in Hluhluwe. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of service excellence and creating a profound guest experience that aligns with our service vision and creative concepts.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Lodge Manager in managing the lodge and maintaining ultimate guest relations
Manage and train lodge staff to meet the Lodge Standard of Excellence
Maintain the highest housekeeping, maintenance, and gardening standards to ensure cleanliness and style consistency
Effectively administer orders and manage stock control for optimal financial management
Provide effective daily administration of concierge and reception duties
Maintain accurate records of guest interactions in our database to achieve service excellence
Ensure all areas of the lodge are clean, tidy, and well-maintained at all times
Care for equipment and products with attention to quality and care
Support the Lodge’s conservation message and purpose through active participation and effective communication

Requirements

A minimum of 4 years of work experience in a recognized five-star hotel or world-class lodge
Exceptional Food and Beverage knowledge and financial management ability
High standards of service excellence and passion for the industry
Awareness of dietary restrictions and allergies
Attention to detail and excellent English reading, writing, and speaking abilities
A second language is preferred but not essential

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent recognized qualification in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field
