About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and charismatic Assistant Manager to join our team at Hluhluwe, where you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the lodge.
Key Responsibilities
- Interact with guests, host events, and provide exceptional customer service
- Manage administrative tasks, including staff supervision and record-keeping
- Maintain knowledge of lodge operations to ensure efficient and effective management
- Collaborate with senior management to achieve business objectives
Requirements
- Degree in hospitality or related field
- Minimum of 2 years in entry-level management experience in a 5-star environment
- Strong, friendly personality with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Formal education in hospitality or related field (e.g. Bachelor’s degree)
Salary & Benefits
- Package includes accommodation in small flat with room and private bathroom and meals while on duty
- Work schedule is approximately 3 weeks on, 1 week off, with 6 days off per month plus 1 day in lieu of public holidays
- Annual leave: 16 days
