Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and guest-focused Lodge Manager for a luxury lodge in Hluhluwe, KwaZulu-Natal. This hands-on role is ideal for a motivated hospitality professional who thrives in a high-end, guest-centric environment and is ready to take full responsibility for the smooth running of lodge operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare personalised welcome and departure notes for all guests.

• Manage guest check-ins and accommodate special requests, including dietary requirements and children.

• Implement and maintain operational procedures according to lodge BOPs.

• Host guests throughout the day, ensuring all needs are met following activities.

• Maintain high standards across all guest-facing products and services.

• Oversee setup, presentation, and smooth delivery of meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner).

• Ensure cleanliness and styling of main guest areas align with lodge standards.

• Coordinate between kitchen and service staff during mealtimes.

• Conduct daily room checks and manage guest check-outs efficiently.

• Collaborate with department heads and wait staff to uphold service excellence.

• Support multiple departments as required to ensure operational continuity.

• Manage bar stock, orders, and inventory control.

• Oversee staff management, including timekeeping, performance reviews, and HR-related duties.

• Uphold superior guest service and ensure consistent quality at all touchpoints.

• Relevant hospitality qualification.

• Valid, unendorsed South African drivers licence.

Experience Required

• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar lodge or camp management role.

• Proven background in luxury hospitality with strong guest and staff engagement skills.
