An exclusive Big-5 safari lodge in Hluhluwe, Zululand, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Management Couple to lead its day-to-day operations. This is a unique opportunity to live and work in one of South Africas most beautiful reserves, managing a world-class hospitality offering while contributing to conservation and community development.

The Role

The Management Couple will be responsible for all aspects of lodge management, including guest services, hospitality operations, financial oversight, staff leadership, and coordination of safari experiences. The ideal couple will combine strong front-of-house hosting and guest relations expertise with solid operations, maintenance, and conservation management skills.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

        Deliver a seamless 5 guest experience across accommodation, dining, and safari activities.

        Lead, motivate, and train a team of lodge staff.

        Oversee F&B, housekeeping, and lodge presentation standards.

        Manage budgets, stock control, and administrative reporting.

        Coordinate with field guides, trackers, and conservation teams.

        Maintain safety standards and compliance with regulations.

        Represent the lodge brand with professionalism and warmth.

Requirements

        Previous experience as a Management Couple in a luxury safari lodge or equivalent 4/5 environment.

        Strong leadership and guest-service skills.

        Financial and administrative management capability.

        Hospitality/front-of-house skills (partner one).

        Operational/maintenance/conservation skills (partner two).

        Valid drivers licences (PDP an advantage).

        Willingness to live in a remote bush environment.

        A passion for wildlife, conservation, and African hospitality.
