Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join a luxury safari camp located in the heart of the Timbavati. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative culinary professional who thrives in a remote, high-end hospitality environment and enjoys delivering exceptional dining experiences in the bush.

Package:

• Salary: R8,000 R9,000 per month (Negotiable depending on experience)

• Live-in position

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Chef in a lodge or hospitality environment

• Strong culinary skills with a passion for flavour and presentation

• Ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently in a remote location

• Knowledge of food hygiene, safety, and stock management

• Creative and flexible approach to menu planning and dietary requirements

• Team player with excellent communication skills

• Professional attitude and well-presented appearance

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and present high-quality meals for guests and staff in line with lodge standards

• Plan and execute menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and local produce

• Maintain stock levels, place orders, and manage kitchen inventory

• Ensure all food safety and hygiene protocols are consistently followed

• Collaborate with lodge management and service teams to deliver a seamless guest dining experience

• Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
