Hoedspruit: Junior Farm Manager

Minimum Requirements: BSc Agric or Agricultural Diploma Minimum 5 years managerial experience in citrus production Understanding of export fruit quality standards Computer literate Understanding/speaking an African language will be beneficial Willing and able to work irregular hours during the spray season General business understanding and operational management exposure Duties and Responsibilities: Implement irrigation schedules based on seasonal crop needs, probe data and weather forecasts Execute fertigation programmes as prescribed; identify nutrient deficiencies and adjust where required Manage labour teams within legal and company requirements, and uphold health and safety standards Recruit, manage and monitor harvesting teams to deliver optimal quality fruit within required picking windows Implement citrus spray programmes discussed and agreed with the broader team Maintain and care for infrastructure, buildings, equipment, vehicles and machinery across the farm Participate in management meetings, technical discussions and planning sessions Positively contribute to continuous improvement and team culture PLEASE NOTE : Thank you for your interest in this position, we will review and be in touch if you are suitable.
