Hire Resolve’s Client are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Engineering Supervisor to join our team in the mining industry in the Northern Cape. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering and supervisory experience in a mining environment.

Responsibilities:
– Oversee and coordinate the engineering department’s daily activities, including maintenance, repairs, and installations
– Manage a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards
– Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure optimal performance of equipment and machinery
– Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
– Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and workforce assignments
– Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols in all engineering activities
– Collaborate with other departments to support overall operational goals and objectives

Requirements:
– A Valid Trade Certificate and N5 Certificate
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role in the mining industry
– Strong knowledge of mining equipment, machinery, and processes
– Excellent leadership and communication skills
– Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
– Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
– Knowledge of relevant safety and environmental regulations
– Willingness to work on-site and in challenging conditions as needed
