Job Description
Our client in the FMCG industry is currently seeking to employ a Finished Goods Inventory Manager to their team based in Humansdorp, Eastern Cape.
This position is only open to EE candidates.
Requirements:

A bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, or a related field.

A minimum of 5 years experience in inventory or warehouse management, preferably within the FMCG sector.

Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central being highly advantageous.

Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools is essential.
-
Solid understanding of inventory control principles and best practices.
-
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
-
Excellent communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
-
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
-
A valid Code 8 (EB) drivers licence.
Responsibilities:
-
Monitor and control finished goods inventory levels across all warehouses and storage locations.
-
Develop and maintain comprehensive inventory policies and procedures.
-
Collaborate with production, demand planning, and logistics teams to align inventory with sales forecasts and customer demand.

Analyse inventory data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization.
-
Ensure accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and reconciliations.
-
Manage product shelf life and enforce FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.

Partner with sales and marketing teams on promotions and new product launches to ensure inventory readiness.

Lead inventory-related projects, including system upgrades and process improvements.

Prepare and present inventory performance reports and KPIs to management.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, regulatory, quality, and R and D guidelines.
