An established and innovative technology company based in Irene, Gauteng is seeking a highly skilled Software Developer (Java & Delphi) to join their Software Development Department. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team working on high-quality web applications in a technically challenging and fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and support of enterprise-level applications with a focus on Java EE technologies. A strong background in Delphi and experience across full-stack development will be advantageous.

Responsibilities: 

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance applications using Java EE and related technologies
• Write clean, scalable code following best practices and development standards
• Collaborate across teams to design, implement and integrate complex solutions
• Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure code reliability and performance
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical mentorship
• Maintain and update existing software and applications
• Troubleshoot and debug applications as needed
• Document all aspects of software systems

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in software development or a similar role
• Strong Java EE development background
• Proficiency in IDEs such as NetBeans or Eclipse
• Solid experience with SQL and relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle)
• Strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented programming, and design patterns
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web frameworks
• Experience with front-end and back-end technologies
• Experience with service-oriented architecture and domain-driven design (basic knowledge acceptable)
• Agile, Scrum, and/or Kanban methodology experience
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git, Bitbucket)
• Unit and integration testing experience
