Key Duties and Responsibilities Building and maintaining data pipelines (ETL) from SQL databases, Excel/CSV, and other sources Designing, developing, and enhancing Power BI dashboards and reports (data modelling, DAX, Power Query) Writing efficient SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and KPI calculation Ensuring data accuracy, quality, and consistency through validation and quality checks Using AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) to accelerate insights, detect trends, and produce executive-ready narratives Automating reporting processes and improving efficiency Collaborating with stakeholders to translate requirements into impactful insights and reporting solutions Applying governance best practices, including data privacy (POPIA) compliance Essential Skills and Qualifications Qualifications & Experience: Grade 12 plus a relevant tertiary qualification (Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar) 24 years experience in a Data Analyst or BI support role Experience in reporting environments, ideally within operations or service-based industries Technical Expertise SQL (Intermediate to Advanced): joins, aggregations, data validation Power BI: data modelling, DAX, Power Query, UX and performance optimisation Advanced Excel: Pivot Tables, Power Query, data cleansing Exposure to Python or similar tools for automation Nice to have Familiarity with AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT) and prompt engineering Think-Cell Personal and Professional Attributes Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability Skilled in data storytellingtranslating insights into clear business recommendations Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) for both technical and non-technical audiences High attention to detail and commitment to quality Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills Adaptable, curious, and able to thrive in a changing environment Strong sense of ownership with a results-driven mindset Key Performance Indicators Timely delivery of dashboards and reports aligned to SLAs High levels of data accuracy, completeness, and integrity Strong stakeholder satisfaction and adoption of reporting solutions Measurable impact from AI-assisted insights (time saved, improved decisions) What is in it for you .
