General Requirements: Minimum 5 years experience in 5-star properties Own transport Valid drivers license (essential) Creative; out-of-the-box thinking with the ability to think on their feet Able to work independently without supervision Outgoing personalities with strong guest engagement and hosting skills Strong team management and time management skills Position Requirements: Candidate 1: FGASA Level 1 Marine (or Level 1 with Marine to be completed within 6 months of employment) all guiding qualifications must be up to date and valid First Aid Level 1 Strong maintenance and vehicle maintenance skills Excellent hosting skills Fluent in English (spoken and written) Basic HR knowledge Valid PDP Candidate 2: Strong hosting skills All-rounder knowledge across departments (advantageous) PAN knowledge (essential) Computer literacy (MS Office) Basic HR knowledge Strong administrative skills Fluent in English (spoken and written) Drivers licences would be an advantage

Area/Location: Stormsvlei, Western Cape About the Position A well-established operation in the Stormsvlei area is seeking an experienced and motivated Management Couple to oversee the day-to-day operations of the property. This role requires a dynamic team with strong leadership, organisational skills, and a hands-on approach to management. Key Responsibilities Management Partner 1 (Operations / Maintenance / Grounds): Oversee daily operations and staff supervision Manage maintenance of buildings, vehicles, and equipment Grounds; infrastructure, and general property management Health & safety compliance Stock control and supplier liaison Management Partner 2 (Administration / Hospitality / Finance): Handle administrative duties and record-keeping Manage bookings, guest relations, and hospitality services (if applicable) Staff scheduling and payroll assistance Basic financial management and reporting Purchasing and inventory control Minimum Requirements Proven experience as a management couple or in similar roles Strong leadership and staff management skills Good organisational and problem-solving abilities Computer literacy (email, spreadsheets, basic accounting) Ability to work independently and as a team Sober habits and excellent references

Core Criteria: Proven experience in lodge or hospitality management, ideally within a safari or remote lodge environment Formal business qualification essential: Business Management / Business Leadership (BML), Commerce, BCom, and/or Hospitality Management Strong financial and administrative understanding, including budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and reporting Excellent leadership, communication, and people-management skills Ability to work independently and make sound operational and commercial decisions High level of professionalism with a guest-centric mindset Candidate Responsibilities: Overall management of lodge operations, ensuring smooth daily functionality Oversight of all departments including front of house, housekeeping, maintenance, guiding, and food & beverage Implementation and maintenance of lodge standards, policies, and procedures Budget management, cost control, stock control, procurement, and reporting Oversight of reservations, billing, and financial reconciliation Strong administrative systems and record keeping Hosting guests and ensuring a high level of personalised service Managing guest feedback, queries, and special requests Upholding service excellence throughout the guest journey Recruitment, training, mentoring, and performance management of staff Staff scheduling, discipline, and motivation Creating a positive, professional team culture Oversight of general maintenance, lodge infrastructure, and vehicles Coordinating preventative maintenance and supplier relationships Strong business acumen with a hands-on leadership style Organised, solution-driven, and detail-oriented Calm under pressure and adaptable to a bush environment Passion for hospitality, conservation, and rural tourism This is a live-in position.
