Job Summary
Hire Resolves client is seeking a highly motivated and analytically skilled Actuarial Analyst to join their team in Waterfall, Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting complex actuarial research and analysis to support business decision-making and strategic planning.
Responsibilities:
- Analyse data and statistical models to assess and quantify risk in insurance products and financial investments.
- Develop and maintain actuarial models to forecast future financial performance and evaluate the effectiveness of current strategies.
- Assist in pricing insurance products and developing underwriting guidelines based on actuarial analysis.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide actuarial support and insights on business initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance with relevant laws and policies.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Requirements:
- Bachelor`s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in actuarial analysis within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Strong technical skills in Excel, SQL, and actuarial software (e.g. Prophet, SAS).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Progress towards actuarial exams (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries or equivalent) is a plus.

Job Summary
A leading insurer is looking for an Experienced Actuarial Analyst to join their team at their offices in Johannesburg.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Becoming familiar with the unit and group strategies and helping the manager put them into action.
- Help with the creation, construction, and upkeep of the financial planning model.
- Help create, construct, and manage the reinsurance optimisation model.
- Do an annual Actual vs. Expected review.
- Monitoring pertinent laws like SAM, IFRS 4 and IFRS 17; Estimating the capital needs for local regulatory reporting.
- The creation and development of the capital model.
- Streamline the process of reinsurance optimization.
- Testing of the improved outcomes
- Choose the best cessions for reinsurance contracts for every year of underwriting.
- Sharing information about the precise operations of the cash flow models
- Contributing to the A&A Board Pack insert;
- Assisting with the automation and enhancement of numerous procedures;

- Ability to work in a team and under pressure.

- Ability to take initiative and responsibility.
Requirements
- Degree in Actuarial Science
- Nearly qualified or Newly qualified Actuary
- Minimum 3 Years non life insurance Experience
- Knowledge of MS Office advanced, Visual Basic, Advanced SQL (Preferable), Python (Preferable)
- Knowledge of Remetrica (Preferable)
- May be required to work odd or long hours from time to time (Due to deadlines0
- Travel may be required.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision

Job Summary
We are looking for an Actuarial Analyst to conduct complex risk analyses and predict the outcome of potential investments. As an Actuarial Analyst, youll create statistical models to calculate likelihoods and youll present findings in detailed reports.
To be successful in this role, you should have a flair for math and an analytical way of thinking. Ultimately, youll help us make the most profitable investments, minimizing financial risks.
Responsibilities
- Build predictive models to accurately analyze potential outcomes
- Recommend investments with the lowest risk and the highest profits possible
- Calculate total assets and liabilities
- Determine financial status after an investment
- Compare actual ROIs with forecasts
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for new investments and funds
- Develop guides and policies on how to avoid high-risk investments and the losses associated with them
- Keep records of payments, funding and underwriting policies
Requirements
- Preparing and analyzing input data
- Model and product updates
- Build pricing products
- Ad-hoc tasks
Experience:
- 2 – 3 years of working experience in short-term insurance
- Exposure to product, pricing, and valuation
- Advanced Excel and working knowledge of SQL will be a distinct advantage
Education & certificates:
- Bachelor`s Degree in Actuarial or Business Sciences.
- Good progress with the A100 and A200 series (CT series) exams.
