About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AP Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our Accounts Payable function, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments, leading and mentoring a team of 2-3 clerks, and driving continuous improvement in efficiency. With a strong background in logistics and experience working in fast-paced environments, you will play a critical role in supporting our management reporting and supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full AP function, ensuring accurate and timeous processing of invoices and payments.
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of 2–3 AP clerks, driving efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and financial regulations.
- Perform reconciliations, resolve queries, and maintain supplier relationships.
- Provide analytical insights to improve processes and support management reporting.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting/Finance (SAICA/CIMA) – non-negotiable.
- Minimum of 5 years’ supervisory experience in Accounts Payable – essential.
- Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to support and develop a small team.
- Experience in Freight Forwarding or a similar logistics environment highly advantageous.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting/Finance (SAICA/CIMA) from a reputable institution.
