About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Manager to oversee and optimize retail performance across the Johannesburg Region. This pivotal role demands a strategic leader with a proven track record as an “Area Manager” in driving sales, enhancing operational efficiency, and cultivating high-performing teams within a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor marketing initiatives
- Analyze sales data
- Provide actionable insights to maximize revenue and market penetration
- Recruit, train, and mentor store personnel
- Foster a culture of excellence
- Ensure adherence to company standards and procedures
- Oversee all aspects of store operations, including inventory control
- Manage asset management
- Loss prevention
- Compliance with security protocols
- Monitor and manage store budgets
- Analyze financial reports
- Implement strategies to optimize profitability and control expenses
- Champion exceptional customer service
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints
- Implement strategies to enhance the overall customer experience
- Manage stock levels
- Facilitate inter-store transfers
- Ensure effective merchandising and housekeeping standards across all locations
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in an Area Manager role
- Own reliable car with valid licence disc
- Essential experience within the clothing retail sector
- Proven ability to drive sales growth and achieve performance targets
- Strong understanding of retail operations, including inventory management, loss prevention, and customer service
Qualifications
- Matric certification required
- Retail operations qualification is advantageous
